ELECTRIC CITY CheerLEADING

We are proud to offer a high caliber recreational and competitive cheerleading program for all ages that encourage our athletes to build confidence, gain strength, learn team building, and teach perseverance!

ECC offers second-to-none cheerleading programs from recreational sessions for all skill levels and abilities, to provincial all-star teams.  ECC athletes experience a sense of team and club pride, as well as a sense of belonging.  Attention is paid to each athlete at their level to attain their personal best.

Sport Insurance MEMBERSHIP:

Our recreational season runs from July 1st to June 30th. Athletes are required to pay an annual sports insurance fee of $42 at the time of registering, valid for all KG programs and events until June 30. Our competitive program runs from Jun 1 - Apr 30.

Recreational Cheerleading

These classes run in 9-14 week sessions throughout the year. The recreational program focuses on building an all-around good athlete and person.  Kids will learn determination and teamwork in a safe environment while learning all areas of Cheerleading: jumps, tumbling, stunting, and dance. Athletes will perform a showcase routine for family and friends at the final class.  All athletes receive a t-shirt and bow as uniform for the session.


Mini Magnets

4 to 6 years

Winter Session (13 weeks) January 7th, 2025 - April 11th, 2025

Tuesday 4:10-5:10pm

Friday 4:00-5:00pm


This class is for kids ages 4-6 years old, and all experience levels. This class focuses on teaching the basics of Cheerleading such as stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dancing. These basics will then be incorporated into a routine which the athletes will showcase at the last class of the session for family and friends! Athletes receive a t-shirt and bow to wear throughout the session.


Junior Jolts

6 to 9 years

Winter Session (13 weeks) January 7th, 2025 - April 11th, 2025

Thursday 7:00-8:00pm

Friday 6:15-7:15pm


This class is for kids ages 6-8 years old, and all experience levels. This class focuses on teaching the basics of Cheerleading such as stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dancing. These basics will then be incorporated into a routine which the athletes will showcase at the last class of the session for family and friends! Athletes receive a t-shirt and bow to wear throughout the session.


Senior Shock

9-14 years

Winter Session (13 weeks) January 7th, 2025 - April 11th, 2025

Friday 7:30-8:30pm


This class is for kids aged 8-13 and all experience levels. This class focuses on teaching the basics of Cheerleading such as stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dancing. These basics will then be incorporated into a routine which the athletes will showcase at the last class of the session for family and friends! Athletes receive a t-shirt and bow to wear throughout the session.

Competitive Cheerleading

ELECTRIC CITY CHEER

The All-star cheerleading program offers a competitive team for athletes of all experience levels! Athletes will be placed on teams based on skill level, and age. The competitive program runs from June until the end of April. This program offers athletes a more committed option as these teams’ practice 1-3 times per week and attend 2- 5 Competitions depending on age level. Athletes will learn jump, stunting, tumbling, and dance elements to later incorporate into a dynamic 2 minute 30 second routine.


The level of the team will be determined based on the collective skill within the age group.  Prep teams will attend 3 competitions per season, and Elite teams will attend 5 competitions per season.  Elite team choreography weekend will be in July, Prep team choreography weekend will be in August.

 

Electric City Cheer 2024-2025 Teams:


U8 Level 1 Prep - 3 hrs/week


U12 Level 1 Prep - 3 hrs/week


U12 Level 1 Elite - 5 hrs/week


U16 Level 1-2 Elite - 5 hrs/week
